For Papa Rock- A Tribute To Amit Saigal New Delhi

Join the Event | ** DETAILS ** Date: 6th July'17 Entry: Rs.300/- Most of you may not know that India was not always a country of bands playing their original songs. Most of you may not know how that came about. We got 2 words for you- Amit Saigal (6th July 1965 - 5th Jan 2012). This man single handedly changed the Indian indie music landscape and nothing could make us prouder than offering a tribute to him on what would have been his 52nd birthday. With this mammoth of a line-up:- p a r i k r a m a: Blazing through an explosive journey of 25 years, we need not say anything at all on how p a r i k r a m a stands strong as one of the most iconic rock 'n' roll bands in the Indian music landscape. With hundred more laurels under their belt, the chief one being a special invitation by the stalwarts Iron Maiden to open for them at Download Festival in the U.K. Amit Saigal and p a r i k r a m a's association goes back to times before even both these entities started. Undying Inc: A band known for making some of the most overwhelming heavy music in the country today, Undying Inc. is a lethal blend of high speed thrash riffing, aggressive hardcore breakdowns, death metal technicality and shades of poly rhythm and math metal creating a sound they proudly call their own! Their association with Rock Street Journal goes back to the year they played at the prestigious Great Indian Rock - GIR XIII. They were also one of the top nominated bands at the Jack Daniel's (JD)Rock awards with 6 nomination categories including best band, best vocalist, best album, best guitarist, best song and best guitarist. "The Circus": Delhi's favorite rock band, "The Circus" is undoubtedly one of the names to rely on in the circuit. The band is savage with their sound- vocals as unique as it can get, guitar attacks, bloody complex bass work and the grooves out of the drum machine. "The Circus" is one those bands who has always fearlessly experimented with their music and one of the most loved bands to have emerged out from the Indian subcontinent in years. They were nominated for JD Rock Awards in the Best Song category for 'F.O.P.S.' and Best Bassist nomination for Abhinav Chaudhary. Tanya Nambiar: Delhi-based singer-songwriter Tanya Nambiar is a well-known name. Easily dabbling a number of jobs as an anchor, a voice-over artist, Tanya is known for her entertaining live sets, her music a smooth blend of blues, pop and rock 'n' roll. Having received many adulations from Indian and international blogs, she has her EP "Good Girl Gone" under her belt being the most recent one amongst many others.
