And the total distance is around 3500km. Details:- Starting point will be Rasulgarh Rehman Petrol Pump. Reporting time is 02:30pm and will start in 03:30pm because of our pre plan. 1hr for refuel for the bike and some refreshments. We will ride to Lachen, Thangu Valley, Gurudongmar Lake, Chungthang, Zero point, Tsongmo Lake, Nathula, Nathang Valley, Zuluk. If we have more extra time after travel these places then we will travel to Gangtok and Darjeeling but not sure. Carry all your needed things for approximately 15 days like fooding, renting, brush, paste, first aid kit, torch, chargers, clothes, pillow, blankets, winter clothes like jackets and caps. In winter season there are heavy snowfall in these above areas so prepare yourself for this ride. This is just an amazing ride for us. About the ride:- We will start our ride sharp 03:30pm from Bhubaneswar towards Kolkata. Will reach Kolkata next day morning and will take rest for few hours and then will travel to Gangtok in same day. In Monday morning we have to go to Tourism and civil aviation department of Governments Sikkim for entry passes to enter the east and west Sikkim. After getting passes for entry then will travel all the above places by the schedule. WHY THE PERMITS REQUIRED TO VISIT SIKKIM? Unlike the neighboing state of West Bengal where Darjeeling is located, Sikkim has certain entry restrictions. In fact the whole of Sikkim is under restricted area regime due to its proximity to neighbouring countries like China. And therefore all foreign nationals require Restricted Area Permit (RAP) to visit any part of Sikkim. This permit is also known as inner line permit (ILP). Indians however do no require this. HOW WE TAKE OUR BIKE TO EAST AND WEST SIKKIM? Usually vehicles from registered tour operators are allowed in protected areas of Sikkim. If you are how ever planning to drive yourself to protected area like Tsongmo or Nathula. It is possible to get a permit for your own vehicle as well. You need to visit the Home Department located at the New Secretariat Building in Development area of Gangtok, and meet the joint Secretary (phone- 03592-204751) or Additional Secretary (Phone- 03592-203450) for the necessary vehicle permits. Carry all documentation including your vehicle papers, photos ID, etc. You should at least keep one full day in hand at Gangtok to get this vehicle permit done. Do's (for bike) 1- Carry all your documents (RC, license, insurance paper, pollution certificate) 2- Legal number plate (front and back) and mirrors shouldn't be omitted. 3- Check bike air pressure (front & rear) 4- Carry puncture kit 5- Check chain sprocket 6- Change air filter and engine oil level before leaving for the ride. 7- Check clutch cable & clutch plate 8- Change the break pad also. Do's (for rider) 1- Wear all the gears (shoe, jacket, knee guard, gloves, helmet) 2- Avoid speed runs 3- Follow the leader and never stay behind the sweeper. 4- Keep constant check over your rear rider, inform the leader if anyone goes missing. 5- Stop at crossroads 6- Keep a decent amount of distance between you and the rider in front for braking time. 7- In case of any emergency (bike breakdown/ crash) DO NOT PANIC. This is a very long distance ride so a budget of 20k (Maximum) has been estimated per rider. For more info inbox Us. Cheers Thanks, Supreme Dalasinghray
